Fuck explained...
Fuck is an English word which, to put it simply, in its original meaning referred to the act of sexual intercourse. It can and often is used as a term of abuse, to describe something in a negative, denigrating or derisory, but not necessarily obscene manner. Something can be described as being “fucked” when it is no longer of any use. In a sexual sense when someone has been fucked, it would mean they had partaken in sexual intercourse, though of course in the case of consensual sex between two people, it might not necessarily be clear who has fucked who, indeed this may be a matter of opinion and may depend on the sexual position involved. In these terms the word is probably considered to be obscene, whilst in describing perhaps an inanimate object as being fucked, for example, a car, no obscenity is intended or perceived. In modern day parlance it would just mean the car is no longer any good. Not so with a person who has been fucked, though again, the word may be used in a non-sexual sense to describe a person who is in a bad way. A person may be described as being “fucked” if he has lost all his money, or is seriously ill, or similar.
As we have seen above, "
fuck" can be used as an adjective and a verb. It can also be used as an adverb, a pronoun and can be used quite logically as almost any word in a sentence for example “I fucked the fuck out of the fucking fuckers".
It is also commonly used in slang sentences, where a in some cases it seems to have replaced words in a sentence where it has no grammatical correctness at all – for example – “I don’t give a fuck”. Taken literally this would mean that the speaker doesn’t have sexual intercourse, whereas in fact is meant is that the speaker doesn’t care, or doesn’t give a damn.
